BED
AND BREAKFAST ONLINE SEMINAR
Bed and Breakfast is one of the fastest growing home-based businesses around the world. The market for B&B's continues to grow as more and more people discover this interesting and unique form of accommodation.
New B&B's are opening up everywhere but unfortunately, many people are entering the business with little knowledge of what it entails. One person who enquired about our in-person seminars even stated that, "Running a B&B had to be a no-brainer." All Season's Roost B&B, Courtenay, B.C
Bed and Breakfast is a business that combines many abilities, such as people skills, marketing, accounting, business management and cooking. As one author has written, "the difficulty of starting a B&B is often overlooked because of the emotional appeal and romantic notions that surround the subject."
Information on running a B&B is readily available in books and seminars. However, many people cannot easily access seminars without travelling a great distance and committing a great deal of time and money, We are now offering this practical and detailed 8 week course that you can do on your computer in your own home or office. It will give you the tools to open and operate your B&B successfully.
If you are only thinking about B&B, the course will help you make an informed decision about getting into the B&B business.
If you are already operating a B&B, this course provides a basis for a review of your operation.
THE INSTRUCTORS
After
a long experience in owning and operating B&Bs, Bruce and Mary Jaffary
authored the book "To B&B Or
Not to B&B, The Fun and Facts of Operating a B&B." Their
popular book, in it's fourth printing, has been sold to 20 countries and is
the textbook for the course. Information on it and group seminars can be found
if you click on the link above.
For the past 8 years the Jaffarys have been presenting B&B Seminars in Courtenay, Vancouver and also at North Island College. They are considered as two of the foremost B&B teachers in Western Canada. They have developed the online seminar with distance education specialist, Patricia Fahrni and are the instructors for the course.
Bruce’s special background in business management and marketing has been a great asset. He has managed two golf clubs and a downtown athletic club which certainly contributed to and expanded his understanding of the hospitality industry in all its facets.
Mary has a teaching background in Physical Education, English and English as a Second Language and has worked as an adult educator since 1975. Mary is also an experienced distance education tutor.

and Bruce are great coaches. They are open to new ideas, are encouraging but
also firmly grounded in reality. They truly know the business and want you
to be prepared for the real thing. It's priceless to learn from experts in
the area who have been there and done it all." Kristen Gunn, Portland,
Oregon. "We
got a wealth of information that we didn't know about in all areas of owning
and operating a B&B. Your B&B course was like climbing a steep mountain.
It wasn't about the tough climb itself but how far we could see at the top.
Thanks again for hosting this wonderful online seminar." I loved the
course and found it very helpful in all aspects. The content was just what
I was looking for and it answered all my questions and more. But the best
part of the course has been, without a doubt, meeting you, Bruce and Mary.
